Allow a minimum of 2 hours but you can spend 3 or 4 if you eat lunch or dinner on site and if you climb all the stairs to the top. Now if you want to hike, that’s a different story! Allow more time. I recommend reservations if you eat at 1895 in the park.
Can you drive up to Seven Falls?
Be sure you follow the Broadmoor directions – they own/run it – and drive to the Penrose conference center to park. It is free and a shuttle bus will pick you up and take about a ten minute drive to Seven Falls.

Main entrance to Seven Falls. In the summer it stays open until 10:30pm. After the sunsets, lights illuminate the falls in a variety of colors. In the winter it closes at 4:30pm.

Just remember the 185 steps you take there, is on top of the 225 steps to the top of the waterfall, so if it’s too much,definitely take the elevator. Overall, it was very beautiful getting to the waterfall and back – well worth the price of admission.
